In order to try and find some sense in my life, I have opted to start writing about the experiences I've been through in the past few years. We got through infertility, gave birth to twins and are in survival mode! Life is good baby
February 2005: Got married!
June 2006: went for infertility (I like to say FERtility) consult
Aug 2006: consult with urologist for sperm retrieval options
Aug-Dec: bought and started renovating a house.
Dec 2006: We finally moved into our house.
July 2007: Rob finally had surgery (TESE) and it was a success! Enough sperm for 10 ICSI tries obtained.
Sept 2007: begin IVF cycle #1, transfered 1 embryo: failed, ?bad batch of eggs
Nov 2007: IVF cycle #2, transfered 1 embryo: failed, ?meds will change next time
Jan 2008: took off from cycling. started acupuncture weekly
Feb/March 2008: IVF cycle #3 with slightly altered meds, transfered 2 embryos at day-three, and were able to freeze two day-three embryos. Failed. ?sperm and eggs. Great.
April 2008: Got a puppy, oh boy.
April 2008: frozen embryo transfer: both survived the thaw, transfered both, and I got preggo!
January 2009: delivered two healthy babies at 37 weeks 5 days
January 2009-present: raising twins, working part time, taking care of my husband...not necessarily in that order!
