prego update

I haven't taken a new photo yet, but went to the Dr yesterday. I am having these ridiculous pains in my belly, especially with sneezing and deep laughing. I really felt like I blew out one of the kids after I sneezed this weekend. :P The Dr said it is ligament pain (DUH...as a PT I should know that, at least I am not going to rupture my appendix or anything). She said to get a support brace. Sounds like a good plan.
I was concerned I gained too much weight, as my butt and legs are now enormous and I know I am not carrying any children there, but she said I am on track. Ho hum...that's life.
I am at 14 weeks now, but my uterus measures at 20 weeks. Does that mean that they might come early??? Or just that I am going to be quite LARGE carrying these two little bundles???
I went shopping after my appointment yesterday and bought way too many maternity clothes, because I was in a hurry so I just took what looked decent, whoops!!! We do have three weddings coming up so I needed a dress, and work clothes. But I'll have to go through it all and return a few items before my husband has a heart attack.
We'll take more photos this weekend and I'll post those ASAP!

Thelma

Sad as it is, we have decided we need to find a new home for our little Thelma. We are very sad, she is a beautiful and loving dog, but has more energy than ANY dog I have ever met. With Rob in a wheelchair and me pregnant with twins, our energy levels are just not a match for hers. Unfortunately our yard is not appropriate for her either.
So we are looking for a home where she can run all day and hopefully play with other dogs as well. We have a few leads, so hopefully they will work out.
We are sad, but it really will be best for her.

babies in the belly

So the first photo is me at 9 weeks. Still able to wear fairly normal clothes, although growing like a weed:) The second photo is me today, at 12 weeks. Yikes....although the babies are growing, so is my fat belly!! (and thighs and butt). No one said this would be easy, right?!

photos...

Since we conceived via IVF, we are lucky to have some pretty amazing photos of our future babies, starting as early as three days post conception (the day of the transfer). They were about 8 cells each at this point.

Our first ultrasound was at 6 weeks 2 days. This is when we knew there were TWO embryos! And we heard the heart beats for the first time. They weren't quite on "track" at this point, so we scheduled another ultrasound for 8 weeks.

These two photos (above and below) show the heart rates for each embryo. (at 6 weeks).

The photo below is at 8 weeks! The heart rates and measurements looked better at this point.

I just had an appointment this week, and saw them again. I had one bouncy fetus and one relaxing. The Dr said they look fine. I am at 11 weeks tomorrow, and although we are still pretty far away from 40 weeks, we are excited! The next big step is an anatomy ultrasound at 18 weeks. I'm also starting to feel a lot better, YEA!!! The sickness is pretty much gone. I got out in the yard and did a lot of weeding and planting yesterday, so I am making progress.

Other than baby info, Thelma has explosive diarrhea, YUCK!! Thank goodness it has all been outside. We think she may have eaten some mold or mushrooms outside on Friday. I have been feeding her rice, so hopefully she will be better by tomorrow!
